The first type of palm tree we are going to look at are the foxtail palm trees. These palm trees generally were thought to not be able to survive in milder weather. They were actually believed that they could only survive in a humid weather.  But some growers who got them acclimated to milder temperatures were able to get them to survive. Many people are getting introduced to this kind of palm tree because of that. They are a rare palm that has been gaining popularity dramatically.

Another type of palm that was thought not to be able to survive in milder temperatures are the coconut palm tree. But just like the foxtail palms some growers were eventually able to successfully grow them.  Because the more famous coconut palms that do produce coconut were generally only able to survive in the tropics. When people begin to do their landscaping they basically plan out what kinds of plants and trees they will have.It is what most people are familiar with most of the time.  But in this article we are going to go over a couple of trees most aren’t familiar with. And if you do choose these types of trees you will definitely be glad because most people do not know about them.

So the first tree we are going to look at are the foxtail palm. They are palm trees that have not been used widely. This is basically due to the mere fact that most people thought that they were hard to maintain. The reason for that kind of thinking was because it was assumed they only lived in a more tropical climates. While that is exactly true, there have been many growers lately who are getting them used to milder weather.Due to that more and more people are able to use them.

Another palm tree that falls into this category are the coconut palm tree.I say it falls into this category simply because once again people do not believe it will live in milder weather. But once again this is absolutely not the coconut palm that you are thinking about. The one people think about are the ones that are found on tropical islands. This is a sort of a hybrid and is definitely able to survive in milder weather.

With both these palm trees or any buy palm trees the key is learning how to care for them. With these two in particular you definitely want to ensure that you do not overwater them. That is the major cause of diseases. Also, you want to ensure that you have a good soil and fertilize if you need to.  If you do take good care of these palm trees you will get to enjoy them. You will be enjoying palm trees that not many people have and it will help your landscaping stand out and look great.

So one of the options you have is what kind of landscape you will have.Would you want a tropical look?  Are you going to go more domestic plants? Are you going to go all out?  Well, if you decide to go tropical you still have some choices.  For example, you are going to decide if you are going to buy palm trees for sale.  Because if you do, you have to look for some that is for sale then you have to choose what type!Because if you do go for tropical you would have to look for shops that sell tropical plants.Because there are many kinds of tropical plants out there.

One of those kinds of palm tress you might decide to go with are foxtail palms trees.Compared to other palm trees, they are not as common. But they are fast becoming popular.  Normally grown in more humid climates like Florida.  Now they are starting to be grown in places like California and Arizona. And due to that they are already adapting to different types of climate and can be grown anywhere.

Another palm tree to consider are king palms.  They are another beautiful type of palm.  They are more common than the foxtail palm tree. And that would be the reason why they are more popular. So people will know about them more.  But for that reason people might choose the foxtail palms over the king palms.

But whichever palm you choose going tropical is still a very good choice for your landscape.  It always goes nicely with a home.  And if you choose nice tropical plants to compliment your palm trees you can have a nice lush landscape. That is something that you can be proud of and brag about.
